As I reflect on my journey, I find myself filled with gratitude and a sense of purpose. The path that led me to nursing has been rich with experiences, challenges, and invaluable connections, and ultimately culminated in the establishment of  Caretree, a domiciliary care business.

Like many in the healthcare field, my journey began with a calling. Growing up, I often sat with my grandmother listening to her stories of her nursing career. She was an amazing woman,  putting others first and always wanting to do the best for everyone. The compassion, dedication, and resilience she displayed was truly inspiring. I wanted to make a difference to people’s lives just like she did.

Eventually, this profound admiration led me to pursue a career in nursing studying in Suffolk where I immersed myself in the complexities of healthcare. Nursing education is both rigorous and enlightening, encompassing everything from anatomy to patient psychology. I excelled in my studies, but the true lessons came from hands-on clinical practice. Working alongside seasoned healthcare professionals in various settings hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities shaped my understanding of what it means to care. Each interaction with patients taught me the significance of empathy, exceptional communication, and what it is to truly care.

After a successful carer in Nursing and then hospital management I began to recognize a growing need in the community. The desire for personalized, at-home care that respects the individuality of each patient. Many individuals prefer to receive support in the comfort of their own homes, yet they often find themselves overwhelmed by the lack of accessible resources. This realization sparked an idea, to create Caretree, a domiciliary care business dedicated to providing quality in-home support tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Establishing Caretree was no small feat. It required countless hours of research, planning, and network-building. I worked tirelessly to understand the regulatory requirements and best practices for home care. Additionally, finding a compassionate team of carers who shared my vision was crucial. Each member of the Caretree family is not only skilled but also genuinely committed to ensuring our clients feel secure and respected in their homes.

As Caretree began to take shape, my commitment to high-quality, compassionate care remained at the forefront of our mission  which resulted in  us gaining the CQC Outstanding accreditation in all 5 domains. Despite the Outstanding,  I knew  we could  achieve more and in the Spring of 2024  I met Pavlos who shared my vision.  His experience in business was vast and exactly what Caretree needed to develop. In the Summer of 2024 we became business partners.

The range of services we are now offering is vast and includes Complex care, live in, waking and sleeping nights,  personal care assistance, Cleaning and  companionship. We take pride in customizing each care plan to meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients and ensure  our carers are well  equipped to deal with every eventuality.
