About Caretree

Caretree was established in 2009 to provide a high level of care to people living in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. Our founder and Clinical Director Linzi Prendergast is a Registered nurse with vast experience in both the NHS and managing Private hospitals.

The Journey began with a straightforward vision: to provide compassionate, high-quality care that truly makes a difference in our clients’ lives. As Linzi often says “delivering care in a way that you would want to receive it yourself”.  Linzi remains actively involved with the delivery of care as she recognises that to manage care it is vitally important to understand what is happening at the point of care delivery, in the Client’s home.

At Caretree, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves personalised and respectful care. From our inception, we have prioritized a client-centred approach that emphasises understanding each person’s unique needs. We are proud to have fostered strong collaborations with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals in the region who buy into our ethos. These partnerships enhance the continuity of care for our clients and ensure that we can respond promptly and effectively to their evolving health needs.

One of the landmarks of our dedication to excellence occurred when we became the first agency in Oxfordshire to receive an Outstanding accreditation. It was an honor that underscored our ethos and validated our methods of care. Shortly thereafter, we achieved the remarkable distinction of being one of the first agencies in the country to secure Outstanding accreditation across all five domains set forth by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Caretree has also been welcomed by official bodies an example of which is the invitation by the Parliamentary Committee for Health to invite Linzi to give evidence on care in their deliberations as well as the World Health Organisation, and the leadership council.

We are honoured to have received such recognition which illustrates our unwavering commitment to the ethical principles of nursing. These principles— care, respect, dignity, and rights—are not just guidelines for us; they are the foundation upon which we build our services. We continuously strive to embody these values in every interaction with clients, their families, and our colleagues.
